This week in 3 and 4

The third and fourth graders went on a walk with Rabbi Amanda. They took their backpacks, coats and math books (for weight) and walked all around school. Eventually, someone asked where we were going and I said I didn’t know. Then someone else asked who told me to go there and I said,”I heard a voice.” Of course, this was to have them think about what it meant for Avram to hear God’s voice saying, “Go out of this land to a new land.” Students realized that it was no easy feat to get up and go and not know where you're going.

In our writing class this week the students read two adventure story starters. They chose one to “finish the story.” Listen to one of their finished stories. We have a very imaginative class!
