Thanksgiving Week in 7 and 8

The 7th grade pre-algebra class is finishing work on their scale drawings, and beginning rate conversions through dimensional analysis.

The 8th graders finished their transformation project, and are working on finding the area of composite 2-D figures.

In Judaics, we looked at a comparison between Jonah and the ship’s sailors, and Jonah doesn’t fare too well. He sleeps through much of the first chapter!

In collaboration with their social studies unit on Native Americans, the students created pottery, learning about pinch pots as well as geometric designs that were often used to decorate Native American pots. They then moved on to creating a motivational word, using one letter in sign language and patterns to decorate the background. They are now studying figure drawing to reinforce what they are learning about the human body in science.
