One might not think that lunchtime would be the best time to get a facial, but today, Morah Marcy proved that it is the perfect time. Today the girls club got together to celebrate Purim. It is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire where a plot had been formed to destroy them. They talked about Queen Ester and they commend her for her bravery for hiding her beliefs.
They then discussed how everyone has a different identity for different situation, and how we have masks for every situation. The girls then cut out masks and decorated them to fit their personality. Each mask that was made was very unique and special; you could really see the personal touch that each girl gave to her mask.
Along with paper masks, Morah Marcy also found recipes for facial masks! One was a mashed up bananas that helped hydrate and smooth the skin, and the other one was apple cider vinegar that toned the skin.
Everyone had an amazing time, just being with friends having some fun really warmed up the cold Friday afternoon. Everyone walked out with a little more confidence to be themselves and a great complexion to go along with it.
